A school year is never complete without the lively and much anticipated school fair. A time where students, teachers, parents, and guests can enjoy fun games and activities with their family and friends. An experience that unites people and brings them together, enjoying a multitude of events. I definitely can’t forget all the delicious food stands that offer a wide selection from tasty finger foods, to hearty meals, to delectable snacks, and even refreshing drinks.

For me, the cherishable mementos from the non-food booths that hold a special place in my closet and room. The school fair is truly one of the year's highlights, filled with laughter, joy, and memories that last long after the event is over. Well, how was your experience at last year’s fair?

My experience from last year’s school fair was truly unforgettable. As a fair board committee member and a variety show performer, my schedule was packed. Even days before the fair, I was managing promotional materials for two of the booths, and staying late hours with my band members to practice. Despite the hectic schedule, I couldn’t help but feel bubbling at the thought of finally having time to relax with my friends and indulge in some delicious food. Although my first day was busy and tiring because of my back-to-back shifts and a dry run, my excitement did not drop. The weather was hot, but it was the perfect backdrop for the fun, inviting atmosphere that surrounded the fair. Of course, the most memorable part of it all was our performance later that night. The energy and cheers from the crowd, combined with the adrenaline pumping through my veins made such an amazing synergy that I will never forget. Every beat and note felt electrifying, and the connection with the audience was something beyond words. All our hard work and efforts definitely paid off.

Oh, it definitely had been! Though I had a much freer schedule, I was still able to have a whole day filled with activities to try out. I hung out with a few friends, watched the Open Mic, and tried the different food choices offered at the food booth. My friends and I tried out so much food and the many different rides that were offered! The different rides kept me through with the thrill with each one. Although my fear of heights stopped me from trying out the Octopus ride, the other rides still offered the same kind of excitement and adrenaline rush I would expect. Meanwhile, the Open Mic truly showcased the talent of each performer, engaging well with the audience. Well yes, I did not forget about watching the Variety Shows! Each performance brought out joy from the audience that was just so contagious! Both the Music and Dance night were surely memorable, entertaining, and fun to watch!

Well, cue the good news to share! Did you know our school fair is coming up soon? And it’s happening right during the season of love! I think the main theme is hope, which feels perfect for the time of year. It’s all about radiating light and positivity and sharing it with the people around you.

How about you? Your experience at last year’s fair must’ve been interesting!

The School of the Holy Spirit of Quezon City is inviting us all to a hearty feast this February 7-8, 2025. A festival of hope and joy coming to unite us all, where we can find our glimmer full of aspirations even through the midst of uncertainty. Let this Festança be a moment where we share happiness and love with everyone we meet. Divirta-se!
