Whether it be 5, 25, or even 40 years of service, each moment spent dedicated here at SHSQC is a display of unwavering commitment and devotion. Following the spirit of our Family Day held last January 15, themed ‘Celebrating a Mission of Love and Compassion’, the SHSQC community gathered together to commemorate the feast day of Saint Arnold Janssen, our founding father, while also commending the great efforts of our service awardees.

As the awardees made their way through a procession greeted with a shower of applause from the audience, we were then treated to a cultivating dance performance from our Indian SHSians to start off the program. Then followed the awarding of Ms. Arianne Angeles, Ms. Pamela Banculo, Ms. Sharon Delos Martirez, Mr. Von Garcia, Mr. Michael Maraña, Mr. Uary Mijares, Ms. Diane Noche, Mrs. Ro-Anne Obligar, Ms. Danica Orianza, and Mr. Reynaldo Retrato, our 5-year service awardees.

The next group of performers were none other than the students of 8-Pag-asa, delivering a dance number to Iñigo Pascual’s “Dahil Sa ‘Yo”. Ms. Charm Arisgado and Mrs. Rosemarie Reposto were then presented with the award for 10 years of service, alongside Mrs. Lourdes De Leon for 30 years.

After this, one of the awardees, Mrs. Luzvilla Miranda, took the stage to deliver a poem saluting the school and paying tribute to the memories she holds as a part of the family—a heartfelt speech that moved many.

A touching song number and message by The Council of Leaders, and a special performance performed by our SSpS Sisters were then rendered. As the program comes to a close, the SHSQC family sang “All Hail to You Father Janssen,” honoring our founding Father.

The dance numbers did not end here; the Senior High Dance Club graced the stage with their performance and later resumed with the awarding of Mrs. Eva Cabrido for 35 years of service, together with Mr. Pablito Lanuza and Mrs. Lucia Leyco for 40 years.

Expressing her gratitude through song, Clara Llana of 4-Taal dedicated “Flashlight” by Jessie J to our service awardees as the audience swayed along in rhythm. Following the flow of the program, Mrs. Luzvilla Miranda and Mrs. Cora Resterio were then awarded for their 25 years of service.

We are truly grateful to our service awardees for exemplifying Saint Arnold Janssen in their words and actions through their loving service in the school! May he continue to guide and inspire us all. May the Holy Triune God live in our hearts, and in the hearts of all people!
